Description	:	The Basilica of St. Martin is the Central Church of Amberg in the Bavarian Diocese of Regensburg. The Church situated on the South side of market square, was built from 1421 by the Amberger citizens. Design is a three-naved Hall church with a common roof. The Church is surrounded by a wreath of 19 chapels, which are completed by a common loft upstairs. The building form, St. Martin became a model for many churches in the Saxon mining area.
