Description : Courthouse records give the location of the original Mavity farmland off Old Michigan Road, south of Versailles, near Rexville. The graveyard is located on a small rise about fifty feet from the east side of the road. Ripley County Original Land Purchases state William Mavity's land is recorded in Tract Book 3 on page 28, dated 15 Aug 1825.
