| Description | : | The Princes Crypt (Fürstengruft) in the Zerbst Castle Church (Schlosskirche) was the main burial place of the House of Anhalt-Zerbst from 1899 to 1945. The majority of the family members' remains were originally interred in Sankt Bartholomäi, in Zerbst, and were later reinterred in the Princes Crypt in 1899, when it was concluded. On 16 April 1945, during World War II, the castle was hit by Allied bombs and the entire complex burned out and was completely destroyed.
