Description	:	Originally the site of the home of John Ballance (one time Prime Minister of New Zealand) The home was burned to the ground around 1900. In1924 Ballance's widow donated the site to the Parish for the purposes of building a church. In 1927 a contract was signed for the building of the church for the sum of 530 pounds. In 1978 the church was enlarged by the addition of the entrance porch as well as an enlarged sanctuary to accommodate liturgical assistants. The three stain glass windows in the sanctuary were donated by family and friends of the original benefactor, Mrs Ballance.
