Description	:	Founded in 1168 by Sir Hugh Kevelioc, the Earl of Chester, as a leper hospital for his knight, Sir William d'Aubey who had contracted the disease on his journey to the crusades in the Holy Lands. Built on was called Godiva's Woods outside the city wall of Coventry. The chapel is believed to have been located in the area bounded by Duke Street, Allesley Old Road and Hearsall Lane, west of the city walls. As a result, the area became known as the Chapel Fields.
