The ship is essentially unchanged, while the choir has greatly changed. The legend tells that the church was originally built in the western part of the parish, Brobøl, but everything that was built during the day was destroyed every morning. That is why the church was built on the highest site in Ullerup, namely "æ pold", where it is today surrounded by a conservation-worthy village environment. The church is located in the middle of the old, well-kept cemetery, where tombs tell of relatives' connection to the site throughout the ages. The church is built in the Romanesque style with 6 meters high walls - the exterior of carved squares, inside of fieldstones. The high roof was originally the brick deck, later the lead deck and now again the brick deck. The church tower, which was first built in 1902, has a spire covered with slate. An earlier apse is still being traced in the choir's foundation stone, while the remains of a former porch, built-in 1613 and demolished in 1858, have no visible remains. The year 1500 as a burial chapel for Blansgård's owners, and the chapel is still today called the "Blansinger Chapel". Of the original very small Romanesque windows, only two are preserved today on the north side of the choir. At the last church restoration in 1969, these two windows were "reopened" and mosaic tiles were made by the artists Lisbet and Poul Høm, Gudhjem. Both the ship and the choir are fitted with large windows that allow the light to flow into the whitewashed rooms, which also weaved the blanket in front of the altar. The altarpiece is from 1707, provided by sculptor Anton Günther Frese from Brohus on Als. The side wings were replaced in 1858 by new ones made by sculptor Skjold Lund. The paintings of the painting are original and the painter is unknown. It should be mentioned that the traditional red-and-white victory tab in the resurrection picture of the board was of many delights to the parish's Danish-minded population during the foreign rule of 1864-1920.
