Read More	Alma (Hisle) Beasley of Connersville, went home to be with the Lord at 10:55 AM Thursday morning, November 20, 2008 in Connersville. She was born on May 17, 1930 to Ora and Josie McIntosh Hisle in Hamilton, Ohio. She moved with her family to Indiana and while growing up she attended various local schools including Liberty, College Corner and Dublin and received her GED from Connersville High School. Alma met Roy Beasley and the two were married on June 30, 1949 at the First Baptist Church in Bedford, Indiana. The couple lived in Cambridge City when their first son was born, Robert Eugene Beasley. They moved to Connersville in 1955 and their second son, Paul Thomas Beasley was born in 1957. The following year they moved to Alquina and resided there until 1971. Alma, Roy and Paul then moved west of Connersville in rural Fayette County, where Roy currently resides. Alma began her career working at J.C. Penny Company in Connersville and later was employed at Ford Motor Company, where she worked for the next 24 years, retiring in 1992. Alma was a woman of faith, first attending the First Church of the Nazarene, later attended First Assembly of God and lastly the Park Place Church of God, where she and Roy were actively involved in the ministry of the church. Besides her church, Alma was very active in the community, working at the Fayette County 4-H Free Fair for many years and was known as the "pie lady" at the Park Place Church Of God Youth Tent. She and Roy volunteered at the Community Sharing Foundation for several years helping to provide food for those in need throughout the area. Alma loved to sing in church, both as a soloist and in several singing groups, including Sweet Adelines and The Different Sounds. She loved flowers, especially roses and raised large gardens year after year. Alma also loved to read her Bible and pray. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Roy Beasley of Connersville, her two sons: Reverend Robert Beasley and wife Carol, of Sisseton, South Dakota and Paul Beasley of Fort Worth, Texas; a grandson: Ryan Beasley of Sisseton, South Dakota; a granddaughter: Diana Kjerstad and husband Adam, of Mitchell, South Dakota; two great-granddaughters: Jessica Kjerstad and Rebecca Kjerstad, both of Mitchell, South Dakota; four sisters: Lena Smith of Beloit, Illinois, Norma Robbins of Franklin, Indiana, Helen Gross and husband Cecil, of Dublin, Georgia, Ruth Cordell and husband Robert of Martinsville, Indiana; a brother, Ernest Hisle and wife Donna, of Terre Haute, Indiana; and many cousins, nephews and nieces. Alma is preceded in death by her mother and father; a sister, Margaret Lay; and two brothers: Ronald Hisle and Donald Hisle. Funeral services will be conducted by her son, Reverend Robert Beasley at 2 PM on Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Park Place Church of God, where friends may visit at the church from 1 PM until the time of services on Monday and from 4-8 PM on Sunday at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Dublin Cemetery Memorial contributions may be made in care of the funeral home to the Community Sharing Foundation.
