Description	:	Mrs. Alpha Alice Willis Hiatt, 94, of Mount Airy, widow of Mr. Edward C. Hiatt, passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, at her home. Mrs. Hiatt was born in Patrick County on May 21, 1910, to William Walter and Mary Evelyn Willis Willis. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was retired from Sara Lee Sock Co., was a member of Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church and attended Franklin Heights United Methodist Church. Read More	Mrs. Alpha Alice Willis Hiatt, 94, of Mount Airy, widow of Mr. Edward C. Hiatt, passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, at her home. Mrs. Hiatt was born in Patrick County on May 21, 1910, to William Walter and Mary Evelyn Willis Willis. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was retired from Sara Lee Sock Co., was a member of Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church and attended Franklin Heights United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Gloria Hawks and Cleo Hiatt, both of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph L. and Linda Hiatt of Mount Airy; two grandsons, Ralph Lynn Hiatt and wife Debbie and Mark Anthony Hiatt; two great-grandchildren, Alyson Hiatt and Jarrett Hiatt; a sister, Jessie Welborn of Mount Airy; a sister-in-law, Mary Willis, also of Mount Airy; and a special niece, Gail Cox and her husband Don. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hiatt was preceded in death by six brothers, Luther Willis, Corba Willis, Joseph Willis, Kyle Willis, Curtis Willis and Hoke Willis. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Bud Cameron and the Rev. Ricky Johnson. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to Franklin Heights United Methodist Church, 416 S. Franklin Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
