She was a Rochester resident since December 1959. Fourth St., Rochester, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at her residence. Mrs. Allison was born on July 29, 1923, in Evanston, Ill., the daughter of Ralph J. and Mary (Wynn) Potter. She was a Rochester resident since December 1959. Mrs. Allison worked briefly with Dekalb Seed and then worked for 25 years as the administrative assistant to the manager of Torx Products (formerly Indiana Metal Company) in Rochester. After retirement, she enjoyed playing bridge, quilting, painting, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her four children, Pat (Young) Hamann and husband Cary, Naples, Fla., Kate Haworth and husband John, Rochester, Dick Young and wife Karen, Wilmington, N.C., John Allison and wife Melody (Towne) Allison, Charleston, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Teresa (Hamann) and husband Ron Chilian, Dallas, Texas, Steve and wife Michele Hamann, Cincinnati, Ohio, Anne Marie (Haworth) and husband Mark McGriff, Columbus, Jennifer (Haworth) and husband Brian Richter, Rochester, Jason Young, Wilmington, N.C., Justin Young, Wilmington, N.C., Bevin Allison, Des Moines, Iowa; great-grandchildren, Andy Chilian, Dallas, Texas, Tommy Chilian, Dallas, Texas, Jake Hamann, Cincinnati, Ohio, Michael Hamann, Cincinnati, Ohio, Nicolas Richter, Rochester, Blake Richter, Rochester, Hannah McGriff, Columbus, Mariah Young, Wilmington, N.C., Isabella Young, Wilmington, N.C., Rosario Young, Wilmington, N.C.; youngest brother, Don Potter and wife Michel, Taylors, S.C.; youngest sister, Patricia Castiglione and husband Charles, Newtown, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; oldest brother, Ralph J. Potter who died in World War II; and two sisters, Inez Eggert and Lois Jagger. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Private services and interment will be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice of Fulton County or Meals on Wheels Program at Woodlawn Hospital.
