| Description | : | Beedy or Beady Ritch was a daughter of Edmond Ritch and his wife Rachel Cochran. Her birth date is problematic. (The 1850 census says she was 40, the 1860, that she was 45.) She was born in the section of Mecklenburg County which became Union County after 1842. I guess she was born circa 1810-15. Of all her parents' children, Beedy never married, but remained at home to look after her parents in thier old age. From Find A Grave contributor "Mecklaw" I have the information that Beedy died "sometime in the year 1864." |
