TRUMPER Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon from the First Baptist church in Holyoke for Benjamin F. Trumper, 76. Mr. Trumper passed away at his home the morning of March 22, following a heart attack. The obituary as read by Rev. Oliver W. Brock, pastor of the church who conducted the services, is as follows: Benjamin Franklin Trumper, son of Gilbert and Mary Trumper, was born near New York, Wayne County, Iowa on May 26, 1872 and departed this life on March 22, 1949 at the age of 76 years, nine months and 26 days. After growing to manhood there he went out to California and engaged in business with an uncle, Theodore Depew. He was united in marriage to Sarah A. Dinsmore while living in California. To this union two children were born, Alvin A. who preceded his father in death, and Otis C. of Wray, Colorado. After living in California several years, he, with his family, moved to Phillips County, Colorado in 1907, and engaged in farming with his brother, Fred, for several years. The family decided to sell out and moved back to California, but the following spring they came back to Phillips County and located on a farm north of Holyoke. In 1915 they engaged in ranching in Wyoming and in 1921 came back to Phillips County and located on a farm three miles northeast of Holyoke. His wife departed this life on March 13, 1929 and he was united in marriage to Gussie Padgett in 1930. He continued to make his home on the farm until 1942, when he moved to Holyoke and made his residence here until his death. He became a member of the Baptist church in 1927. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, one son, Otis, two grandchildren, one great grandchild, three brothers, Lewis N. Trumper of Centerville, Iowa, Frederick G. Trumper of Holyoke, Colorado and Albert N. Trumper of Allerton, Iowa, and one sister, Ida M. Reuter, of Brainerd, Minnesota, besides many other relatives and friends. His father and mother, three sisters, three brothers and one half brother preceded him in death. Special music for the services was given by Guy L. Bereman, Dr. P.S. Struble, Lorene McWilliams and Mrs. O.W. Brock. Burial was in the Holyoke cemetery and Burl Davis, Glenn Hayes, Nash McMurdy, Loren Clayton, Walter Bryant and August Dubbert acting as pallbearers. Those attending the funeral from a distance: Albert Trumper of Allerton, Iowa, Roy Trumper and daughter, Betty, of Harvard, Iowa, Mrs. Donna Pauley of Seymor, Iowa, and Mrs. Mary Blocher; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wood of Windsor, Colorado, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Padgett and daughters of Denver. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Lewis Funeral Home of Holyoke.
