Description	:	Benjamin Geisler, son of Benjamin and Johanna Haufluisch Geisler, was born in Austria. He married Bertha Schultz, daughter of Joseph and Hannah Wolf Schultz, also born in Austria. Ben was an apprentice to linen weaver. Bertha and Ben met on the ship which carried them to America. They were married and lived in Chicago for two years. He married Bertha Schultz, daughter of Joseph and Hannah Wolf Schultz, also born in Austria. Ben was an apprentice to linen weaver. Bertha and Ben met on the ship which carried them to America. They were married and lived in Chicago for two years. Frank, their oldest son, was born in Chicago. They came to Nebraska in 1979 and homesteaded land in Section 10, of Rusco Township. The family lived in a sod house and Ben worked at the brickyard in Kearney, walking home on Sunday to be with the family. There were eight children in the family and they attended school south of the river at Pleasanton. Ben was a reserved and quiet man. Ben Geisler died April 16, 1922.
