Description	:	The Goldendale Sentinel, May 23, 1935: Caroline Gunda Watson Caroline Gunda Holter was born in Clarksfield, Minnesota, April 20th, 1885, of Norwegian parentage, her father and mother, Christian and Isabelle Holter having come to Minnesota from Norway at an early age, and passed away Friday, May 17th, following a long illness. In May, 1885, Caroline was baptised in the Norwegian Lutheran church and at the age of fourteen was confirmed. Read More	The Goldendale Sentinel, May 23, 1935: Caroline Gunda Watson Caroline Gunda Holter was born in Clarksfield, Minnesota, April 20th, 1885, of Norwegian parentage, her father and mother, Christian and Isabelle Holter having come to Minnesota from Norway at an early age, and passed away Friday, May 17th, following a long illness. In May, 1885, Caroline was baptised in the Norwegian Lutheran church and at the age of fourteen was confirmed. She came to Washington with her parents in 1901, where they settled on a farm in the Pleasant Valley section and where she spent her girlhood. She was married to Fred Watson at Goldendale in 1908 and to this union two daughters were born. After her marriage she resided on a farm in the Number Six district for a number of years, where she was a kindly and helpful neighbor, loved by all who knew her and who join with the bereaved family in mourning her loss. Besides her husband she is survived by her daughters, Vera, of Goldendale, and Mrs. Virgil Saxton, of Ridgefield, Washington; her mother, Mrs. Isabelle Holter, of Goldendale; her sister, Mrs. Clara Sullivan, of Seattle; and her brothers, Carl, Fred, Edwin, Ferdinand, Pharmer and Clarence, of Goldendale. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapman Chapel, Rev. R.H. Allen, officiating. Interment following in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. ******************************************* The Goldendale Sentinel, March 7, 1935: In Hospital.** Mrs. Ted Watson is in The Dalles hospital this week where she is recovering from a recent heart attack. She is reported as much improved and is expected to return this next week.
