Description	:	LE MARS, Iowa -- Christine Kluemper, 58, of Le Mars passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010, at her home after a brief illness, surrounded by her family. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars, with Pastor Greg Gabriel officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Le Mars. Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Visitation will also be one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Read More	LE MARS, Iowa -- Christine Kluemper, 58, of Le Mars passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010, at her home after a brief illness, surrounded by her family. The former Christine Ann Kluemper was born Sept. 10, 1951, in Graettinger, Iowa, the daughter of Ervin and Wylma (Petersen) Wikert. She grew up in Graettinger, Iowa, and graduated from high school there. Chris received her degree from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, in 1973. She taught English and Spanish at Hinton High School for 14 years. Chris married Mike Kluemper on July 5, 1980, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Graettinger. Following their marriage the couple made their home in Le Mars, and Chris continued to teach at Hinton High School. In 1987, she went to work for the Pride Group in Le Mars as an adult basic education instructor and resident services coordinator. Chris was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church, ELCA and the Altar-Guild. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends, especially at the cottage at Okoboji, attending Iowa State football and basketball games, playing bridge with her friends, rocking to 60's music, and all of the fun times with the L.N.O. Group. Survivors include her husband, Mike Kluemper of Le Mars; two children, Matt Kluemper and his girlfriend, Johanna Pauli of Overland Park, Kan., and Leah Kluemper and her fiance, Allen Raushel of Ankeny, Iowa; her mother, Wylma Wikert of Graettinger, Iowa; her mother-in-law, Josephine Kluemper of Le Mars; three sisters, Kathy Brandt and her husband, Doug of Papillion, Neb., Joan Parks and her husband, Perry of Papillion, and Sharon Mears of Bellevue, Neb.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Ervin Wikert; her father-in-law, Robert Kluemper; and many aunts and uncles. Pallbearers will be Bryce Brandt, Brad Mears, Thomas Hamilton, Jacob Neyens, David Kolker and Matt Hatting.
