Clara was the third born of six children to Edward and Pauline Redman Siewert in Antelope, N.D., on July 26, 1922. Clara and her family moved to Montana during the depression in 1934. Read More	Parents connection provided by waggykat on 09/06/2016 ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' On Sunday, March 10, 2013, Clara Siewert Giesick passed away at her home at Aspen Meadows. Clara was the third born of six children to Edward and Pauline Redman Siewert in Antelope, N.D., on July 26, 1922. Clara and her family moved to Montana during the depression in 1934. First settling in the Laurel area, then Elysian School area, where Clara attended grade school. They then moved to Lake Elmo Road where they operated a dairy farm and also farmed. She graduated from Billings Senior High. She was an avid reader all her life and a very smart woman. When they came to the Billings area, the family became members of the Pilgrim Congregational Church. During World War II, the church put names of GI's on the bulletin board and the girls would pick one and write letters to them while they were overseas. Clara picked a GI by the name of Adam Giesick, who became the love of her life. Adam and Clara married in Billings on Aug. 7, 1945. To this union five children were born, Dennis, William "Bill," Susan, Terri and Scott. In the early 1950s they bought Adam's father's farm in Shepherd, Mont. They farmed there for 26 years. They wanted to make a change and sold their farm in Shepherd and purchased a larger farm in Forsyth, MT. After being there for six years, Adam passed away. Clara moved back to Billings and did volunteer work and was also a precinct judge. Clara ran in the Women's Run for several years and came in first place in her age division many times. Each year when the Women's Run would get closer she would get more excited. She enjoyed running with her daughter Terri and then later with her daughter Susan. Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers Arthur, Clarence and Albert; sister Hilda Churchill; and daughter Terri Giesick Hoving. She will be greatly missed by her children: her daughter Susan (Tom) Kaiser and their children Garry (Jennifer) Ratzlaff, Pete (Ginger) Ratzlaff, Jody Kaiser (Tom Dubell) and Leeann (John) Williams; her son William (Valarie) Giesick and their children Adam Giesick, Michael Giesick and Kurtis Bellamy; her son Scott (Kathy) Giesick and their children Jenna Giesick, Amber Giesick, Chris Crittelli (Jamie) and Cari (Jordan) Siemers; her son Dennis (Donna) Giesick and their children Eric (Amanda) Giesick, Joshua Giesick, Shawn Giesick and Kasey Reinemer; and their daughter Patti Fink. She will also be missed by her brothers and sister-in-law Walter and Marguerita Siewert; son-in-law Harry Hoving; sisters-in-law Marlene Siewert and Alice Siewert; 23 great-grandchildren plus one on the way; and several great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Aspen Meadows for the wonderful care they gave our mother. We couldn't have asked for more. This poem is for Mom: To My Special Children You can all miss me just a little. And every now and then Kinda wish that I were still around, to show me where you'd been But, no heartbreaking sorrow, I want no guilty tears, I've had a great life, my children And the happiest of years I've lived each moment My life just seemed to grow I've had more love and friendship, Than most people ever know, And no matter what you do, Remember there's just a little bit of me, in every one of you, My special children. Clara Giesick children Clara's wishes were to be cremated and buried with Adam in Mountview Cemetery. Graveside services are planned for a later date.
