Dale Alan Christoffersen, the son of Lyle Emory (Shorty) & Dorothy Beerman Christoffersen, was born May 21, 1951 at Carroll, Iowa. Read More	Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Dale Christoffersen, 26, who died Saturday at his home north of Kimballton, IA, after a battle of cancer. Dale Alan Christoffersen, the son of Lyle Emory (Shorty) & Dorothy Beerman Christoffersen, was born May 21, 1951 at Carroll, Iowa. Dale was baptized at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, IA, and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Audubon, Iowa, and was a member there. When asked how he remained cheerful with his illness, Dale used to remind people to count their blessings and not their sorrows. He was a very loving, gentle, and kind person who practiced and shared his faith. He also enjoyed a good, clean joke! His faith, his family, his friends, and a sense of humor were very important to him. Dale attended schools in Audubon and graduated with the Class of 1969. While in high school, Dale worked for Conklin's Ford Dealership. He also worked with his father, mother, brother, and sisters on the family farm. They raised and marketed Clover Hill Hybrid Seed Corn, hogs, cattle, alfalfa, and soybeans. After graduation, Dale and his brother Neal became partners in the farming operation. Dale enjoyed all aspects farming, particularly the seed corn and calving season. He also enjoyed riding his horse. Other interests of Dale's include playing cards, hosting bar-be-ques for family and friends, hunting for pheasants, rabbits & deer, fishing, woodworking, playing with his nephews, riding his motorcycle, painting black "lace" on his red Ford Torino, and later driving his pick-up and his "thunder-chicken" (Ford Thunderbird), and taking care of his acreage north of Kimballton. He liked to sing, "Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown," "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," and many other songs from the late 60's and early 70's, hymns, and Christmas Carols. On 15 February 1975, he married Julie Ann Grabill, daughter of Keith and Marilyn Hansen Grabill, at the United Methodist Church in Audubon, Iowa. They spent their married life in the Audubon Community. He was preceded in death by one infant brother, his grandparents Henry Beerman, and C. Albert and Esther (Mortensen) Christoffersen. Survivors include his wife, Julie; his parents; brother and sisters: Mrs. Jim (Diane) Westervelt of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Neal Christoffersen of Audubon; and Mrs. Charles (Joni) Hansen of Manning, Iowa; his grandmother, Mrs. Olga Beerman of Denison. His parents in-law: Keith and Marilyn Grabill; brothers-in-law Jim (Jane Sklenar) Grabill, Kent Grabill, and his sister-in-law Betsy (Douglas) Carter; five nephews and one niece: Clayton and Daniel Westervelt, Gregory Alan Hansen, Camia and Christopher Grabill, and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Douglas Young at St. John's Lutheran Church in Audubon. Internment was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon. Casket bearers were William T.
