His obituary in the Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, Ohio, Friday, March 26, 1909. Daniel Burrier died Monday at his home near Harlem where he lived with two sons, one of them married. He was an old veteran having passed four score years. His wife has been dead for several years and the friends of his early youth had passed away. His recent life had been in the past and his hopes in the future. Like a ripe sheaf he was gathered for the harvest. Four sons living in the vicinity survive him, together with two daughters -- Mesdames Shean of Lee Township and Kail of Uhrichsville, who mourn their early hope and protector. Daniel's will: Harlem Springs, Ohio, May 31, 1906. In the name of the Benevolent Father of all, I Daniel Burrier of Lee Township, Carroll County, Ohio, do make and publish this last will and testament. Item 1st -- I give and devise to my beloved wife the use, and full control of all my property as long as she lives, after all my just debts are paid, this to include all the money personal property and real estate. After my wife death (if she should out live me) my property, both personal and real estate, to be divided equally among my children, with one exception Samuel S. Burrier to receive one thousand dollars ($1000.00) more than the others for staying with us and taking care of us. If the heirs cannot agree to divide the land among themselves, the land to be sold, the administrators to have full power to sell and convey the same. If any of the heirs are not satisfied with the will and go to law, I disinherit them. Samuel S. Burrier to be my administrator. Signed and sealed in the presence of; James Noble & Mary J. Johnson 31 day of May 1906
