Mrs. Kaplan was born Delores Logan July 10, 1918, at Parkersburg. She moved to Dougherty with her parents in 1926 and was married there to Edward Kaplan at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Jan. 25, 1940. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Dougherty and the Ladies Aid of the Church and was president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Dougherty. Surviving are her husband, three daughters, Linda, Mary Sue and Jeanne, all at home; seven sons, Gerald, Philip, Robert, David, Paul and Patrick and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Milford Logan, Dougherty. Two sisters, Mrs Martin (Agnes) Mullin, Dougherty, and Mrs Leonard (Mildred) Kelley, Marble Rock, and four brothers, Donald Logan, Rockwell; Martin and Emmet Logan, Mason City and Maurice Logan, Dougherty, also survive. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert. Phyllis Ann Kaplan, the daughter, was born May 29, 1943 at Rockwell, she was a twin sister of Phillip and a freshman in St. Patrick’s High School in Dougherty.
