Merrick Manor in Fremont. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church near Arlington. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. "Denny" Hilgenkamp was born January 1, 1947, in Fremont to Clarence and Dorothea (Scheer) Hilgenkamp. He was a 1965 graduate of Arlington High School. He lived in the Arlington area all his life and was a dairy farmer. On September 2, 1966, he married Joanne Eddy at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Mr. Hilgenkamp was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Laymen's League and served on various committees at the church. He enjoyed four-wheeling/ATV, bowling and was an avid Husker and Yankee fan. He belonged to three bowling leagues at 30 Bowl and was secretary for his Tuesday night league. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 200 in Fremont and was a former member of the Arlington Jaycees. He is survived by his wife, Joanne of Arlington; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Tami Hilgenkamp of Arlington; daughters, Heather Hilgenkamp of Omaha and Brenda Hilgenkamp of Whitesboro, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Dianne Hilgenkamp and Darrell and Arlene Hilgenkamp, all of Arlington; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Faith; and a great-grandson.
