Description	:	Son of Theodore and Hazel (Born) Nyffeler. He graduated from Duncan High School. Don served in the United States Navy during the Korean War from January 14, 1952, to January 10, 1956. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Don was united in marriage to Margaret Bright on June 8, 1957, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus. The couple farmed in the Duncan area for several years. Don sold Pioneer Seed Corn and Gooch's Best Feed for a number of years. He worked at Lindsay Manufacturing for 17 years and was a Correctional Officer for the Platte County Sheriff's Office for 10 years. Don and Margaret raised and raced horses for a number of years. He had his private pilots license and enjoyed flying his own plane. He enjoyed traveling and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was long time member of the Federated Church in Columbus, a life member of the Silver Creek American Legion and a member of the VFW Post in Duncan.
