Christensen Elsie May Jensen was born in Droningland, Denmark, September 7th, 1845 and died at her home south of Plainview on February 12, 1912, aged 66 years, 5 months and 5 days. She was married to L. S. Christensen in Denmark in the year 1871 and they moved to Wahoo, Saunders county, Nebraska, in the spring of 1882. Christensen Elsie May Jensen was born in Droningland, Denmark, September 7th, 1845 and died at her home south of Plainview on February 12, 1912, aged 66 years, 5 months and 5 days. She was married to L. S. Christensen in Denmark in the year 1871 and they moved to Wahoo, Saunders county, Nebraska, in the spring of 1882. That fall they moved onto their homestead about seven miles south of Plainview, where they have resided ever since. There were born to them two daughters and one son, one daughter, Mrs. James Miller, who resides a short distanc from this city, surviving her. A short service was held at the house Wednesday morning, February 14th, and the funeral service was held at the Danish church, near Copenhagen, at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. H. P. Hansen. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery near the Danish church. Many of the friends and neighbors of the family attended the funeral and burial services. Among those at these services were Mr. and Mrs. Lars Jensen, of Fremont, Mrs. Jensen being a sister of deceased. She was indeed a good woman, a faithful wife and a loving and devoted mother and she will be sadly missed, not only from the home, but from the neighborhood. The bereaved husband, daughter and sister have the sympathy of the entire community in their hour of sorrow. Note: The other two children died in Denmark prior to Elsie's immigration.
