The pall bearers were R. J. Swanson, L. E. Gunderman, Geo. J. Muller, Harold Bickford, J. L. Wheeler, and e. W. Carpenter and burial was in the Villisca Cemetery. Death came to Mrs. Honeyman very suddenly and unexpectedly at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, early Thursday morning of last week following the discovery of an acute abdominal obstruction but a few hours previous her condition rapidly becoming so critical that an operation was impossible She was returned to Villisca and taken to the Eno & Sutphen Funeral Chapel where her body lay until late Saturday eying and was then removed to her home where it remained until time for the funeral service at the church Sunday. Emma Marie Watson Honeyman, the eldest child of the Rev. William James and Alice Goodwin Watson, was born in Monmouth, Illinois, December 10, 1884. When a child of 5 years old she came to Iowa with her parents where she resided the remainder of her life. She graduated form the Malvern High School and following her graduation took two years of musical instruction in the conservatory of music at Grinnell College, Grinnell, Iowa. She possessed an innate talent for music, especially as an accompanist and at 9 years of age was elected Sunday School pianist in the Malvern Baptist Church. She was married to James S. Honeyman on August 17, 1913, and to which union were born three children, James S. Jr., William Watson, and one son who died in infancy. She is survived by her husband, two sons, her mother, Mrs. Alice Watson, Madison, Wisconsin; brother, Joseph Charles Watson, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and two sisters, Miss Alice Watson, Aurora, Illinois, and Mrs. Aline Hazard, Madison, Wisconsin. Mrs. Honeyman transferred her membership from the local Baptist Church to the Presbyterian Church on October 19, 1926. During her life she made a material contribution to the musical life of the church and was active in its organized ministries. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
