Description	:	Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at the St. Joseph’s church in Alma for the late Eugene E. Morin, 56, who passed away suddenly at his home north of this city following a heart attack. Father Robert Smith was the celebrant of the Mass. Born April 15, 1913 on a farm near Orleans, the deceased grew to manhood in that community where he attended the public schools and graduated from the Orleans high school. He served his country during World War II and was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the St. Joseph church and the Knights of Columbus. For the past number of years, he had been engaged in farming and livestock production on a farm near the Junction 183 and Huntley spur north of this city. Mr. Morin was well known in this area and was highly respected by all who had a pleasure of making his acquaintance. Gene, as he was known to his family and friends, was a devoted husband and father, a good neighbor and a friend to all. His untimely passing will be mourned, not only by members of his family, but by his many acquaintances as well. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Cecelia; daughters, Mrs. LaVerne Bourdreau of Upland and Mrs. Ward Newcomb of Omaha, two grandchildren, his brother and sisters, Wilfred Morin of Columbus, O., Mrs. Lilliam Bredenberg of Sioux Falls, SD., Mrs. Phil Choquette of Upland, Mrs. Rollo Struve of Oxford and Mrs. Bernedetta Moscovac of Elyria, O., other relatives and friends.
