Ferel, the daughter of Minnie (Paulson) Krager and Theodore Krager, was born on March 01,1924 in O'Brien County. On June 22, 1942, Ferel married Ralph W. Tischer. She and her husband Ralph and their six children farmed near Superior until 1965 then moved to Milford where Ferel was employed by the Department of Human Services and provided a cleaning service until her marriage to Edward Mitchell of Fenton, IA on November 09, 1974. Ferel and Ed continued to make their home in Milford and worked together until their retirement. She loved spending time with family and friends, dancing to old time music and player cards. Ferel attended Union Memorial Church and enjoyed many activities in the community. Ferel was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Ralph Tischer in 1972, son Steven Tischer in 1987 and husband Edward Mitchell in 1998, great-grandson Caleb Hanson, great grand-daughter Jade Tischer and two son in-laws, Tom Wuebker and Gary Williams, three brothers, Gus, Virgil and Edwin Krager and four sisters, Elsie Meyer, Esther Crosser, Elfay Matthieson, and Eunice Olin. She is survived by her children, Susan Quintana (husband Mathew) of Afton, IA, Sharon McNeill (husband Ted) of Murray, IA, Sally Hanson (husband Robert), Sandy Clemen (husband Clinton), and Stanton Tischer (wife Carol) of Milford, and step-daughter, Joanne Manley (husband Tom) of Armstrong, IA and daughter-in-law Gina Tischer Patton (husband Stephen Patton), and twenty-four grandchildren and forty-two great-grandchildren, thee great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and three sister in-laws, Helen Krager of Spencer, Agnes Krager of Sandborn, Ruby Jansma and brother-in-law George Tischer of Sacramento, California and many relatives and friends.
