Description	:	From The Wolbach Messenger, October 29, 1970, transcribed by Linda Berney: Hans Jacob Lange, son of Asmus and Cathrine Hansen Lange, was born June 10, 1902 at Wolbach. He received his education in the rural schools near Wolbach and grew up in this area. Dick was his nickname and he was better known by this name by many of his friends. On March 12, 1924 he was united in marriage to Mabel Christensen at Grand Island. The couple farmed in the the Wolbach area until 1947 when they moved to a farm in Howard County. He received his education in the rural schools near Wolbach and grew up in this area. Dick was his nickname and he was better known by this name by many of his friends. On March 12, 1924 he was united in marriage to Mabel Christensen at Grand Island. The couple farmed in the the Wolbach area until 1947 when they moved to a farm in Howard County. Mr. Lange was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach. He died on Friday, October 23, 1970 at the Howard County Hospital at the age of 68 years. Mourning his passing are his wife, Mabel, one daughter, Mrs. Darlene Fenton of Greeley, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Christensen of Omaha and Mrs. Clara Thiel of Mapleton, Iowa, four brothers, Edward, Henry and Carl of Wolbach and John of Omaha, other relatives and a host of friends. Preceding in death were his parents and three sisters.
