Harold served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from February 19, 1952 to February 18, 1956. He married Gladys Schalk August 2, 1959 in Nebraska City. Gladys died January 3, 2018. Harold lived in Nebraska City his entire life and worked in Quality Assurance at American Meter for 39 years before he retired. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 8, Eagles Aerie No. 968 and was an active member of Bethel United Church of Christ. Harold was an avid wellness walker and loved spending time with family and friends. He especially loved attending various coffee groups around town. Survivors include his sons, Mark Huss of Omaha; Paul Huss and wife Christy of Papillion; grandchildren, Ryan, Ethan, Conner, Joshua and Austin; sister, Shirley McCord of Nebraska City; many other relatives and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Robert Huss and sisters, Dorothy Brod and Mary Sigler.
