HARRY EDWARD WALKER Harry Walker of Havelock was almost instantly killed near Gretna Monday morning, when the car in which he was riding struck a rut and overturned. He was returning from Omaha in company with Fred Rohrlien and L. c. Thompson. of Havelock. Both of these men were seriously injured. Harry Edward Walker, son of the late Thomas and Agnes May Walker, was born in Creede, Colo., on April 7, 1901, and died near Gretna, Nebr., on December 17, 1928, at the age of 27 years, 8 months and 10 days. When he was six years of age his parents moved to DuBois and located on a farm four miles east of the town. His father died when he was 12 years of age and his mother passed away when he was 17. On July 21, 1921, he was married to Miss Viola Warrick, and to them were born two children, Gerald, three years old, and Lillian Arlene, one year of age. About six years ago they moved to Havelock where Mr. Walker was employed in the Burlington shops, and held the job as assistant foreman in the erecting department. Mr. Walker is survived by his wife and two children, two brothers, William Jennings, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Thomas, Jr. of Chicago, Ill., other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russel Warrick in DuBois Wednesday afternoon at 4:30, conducted by Rev. L. A. Reger, and interment was made in the DuBois cemetery.
