Description	:	Henry Urwiller, 82, of Ravenna died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Grand Island. Mr. Urwiller was born Aug. 13, 1927, on the family farm at Sodtown to Henry Charles and May Louisa (Lange) Urwiller. He married Maurine Reese in 1953, at Smith Center, Kan. Mr. Urwiller was born Aug. 13, 1927, on the family farm at Sodtown to Henry Charles and May Louisa (Lange) Urwiller. He married Maurine Reese in 1953, at Smith Center, Kan. Survivors of the immediate family include his wife of Ravenna; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Sharon Urwiller of Grand Island; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon Urwiller of Ravenna, Dr. Kenneth and Phylis Urwiller of Michigan and Dr. Richard and Susanne Urwiller of Colorado; two sisters, Mabel Heuermann of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Blanche Koehler of Clay Center; and a sister-in-law, Delores Urwiller of Ravenna. Additional survivors include two grandchildren, Jake Urwiller of Brainard and Lisa Urwiller of Omaha; and a great-granddaughter, Emma Dawn Urwiller, He attended grade school at Sodtown and graduated from Ravenna High School. He farmed until entering the Army during the Korean Conflict. After he was discharged from the Army, he returned to the family farm where he farmed until his retirement in 2005. He was an accomplished welder and worked several winters for Spahr Machine Shop in Kearney. His passions in life were farming and welding. He enjoyed having coffee with his friends. Henry attended the former Sodtown United Methodist Church and was a member of the Platt Duetsche. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Werth and Pearl Spahr; and a brother, Mearl Urwiller.
