Description	:	Mr. Henry Whiteford Smith, 91, widower of Maybeth Smith, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 with his family by his side. Born March 20, 1927 in Conway, Mr. Smith was the son of the late Robert Smith and the late Ethel Parker Smith. Read More	Mr. Henry Whiteford Smith, 91, widower of Maybeth Smith, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 with his family by his side. Born March 20, 1927 in Conway, Mr. Smith was the son of the late Robert Smith and the late Ethel Parker Smith. He was a sporting goods retail manager for the Jerry Cox Company and a member of First United Methodist Church of Conway. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in World War II. In his younger years, he enjoyed car racing on the dirt track in Myrtle Beach, speed-boating, flying, and riding Harleys. His family was always a part of his adventures, and they all enjoyed camping together as well. Mr. Smith was predeceased by his son, Danny Keith Smith and his brother, Parker Smith. Survivors include his children, Bob Smith of Conway and Cynthia Welch and husband Louie of Conway; his grandchildren, Shawn Campbell and wife Ann, Austin Smith, and Heather Thompson; his great-grandchildren, Shawn Campbell, II and wife Carrie, Nick Campbell, Xavier Campbell, and Kala Thompson; and his great-great granddaughter, Lila Faye Campbell. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Chapel Mausoleum in Hillcrest Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Lindsey Inman.
