Description	:	James Yoakam, Victim of Notorious Robber Gang, Answers Final Summons James Yoakam, 86 years, died at his home in Shawnee township five miles south of Lima, at 5 o'clock yesterday morning, after an illness of many months. The funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at Shawnee church, conducted by the Rev. Pope, of Cridersville. Interment will be in Shawnee cemetery. Mr. Yoakam was a victim of the sensational robbery out of which grew the John Beam murder and suicide and the long continued trials of Christian Geiger. At that time, will be recalled, masked men bound Mr. Yoakam and his aged wife, and their daughter and son-in-law before ransacking the home. As a result of the fright experienced at that time, he was bedfastt for several weeks following the robbery, though his health had been excellent prior to it. Gradually his mind gave way under the strain, until it became a blank and he constantly imagined that he was being pursued by robbers. His effort to outwit them were pitiful. He is survived by the widow and six children. These are Mrs. Sarah Sauter, William, Clarence, and Joseph Yoakam all of Shawnee township; Charles Yoakam of Marion, and Mrs. Lila Thompson of Paulding.
