Read More	NEW MARKET HERALD, New Market, Iowa, Jul 24, 1930 Mr. James Anderson of Sutton, Nebr., died July 18, 1930, at his home and the remains were brought to New Market for burial,the funeral being held last Sunday afternoon. Mr. Anderson was a former resident of New Market and has a number of relatives still living here, besides many friends who sorrow at his death. James Anderson was born in Ross County, Ohio, on September 11,1840. He passed to his reward at his home in Sutton, Nebraska, July 18, 1930, aged 89 years 10? months and 7 days. He was the oldest of 8 children born to Mr and Mrs Robert and Nancy Morgan Anderson. He came to Illinois when a child of 4 years of age and moved to York County, Nebraska in 1890, where he lived the remainder of his life with the exception of 4 years here in New Market. He was married to Margaret Anderson in the year 1875. To this union were born two children, Charlie E. of York, Nebraska and Ella Maxwell of New Market. He was also a step-father to his deceased brother's four children Ed of Washington, Iowa, Rube of New Market, Iowa, and Clara Dorsey and Nancy White, who preceded him in death. His wife passed away in the year 1920. He was always a great believer and student, and made the confession of his Master in the Siam church in 1915. There are left to mourn him 2 sisters, Mrs Myron Wheeler, and Mrs Rachel Pickering of Smithfield, Illinois, 3 sons and one daughter, Charle E. Anderson, of York, Nebraska, Ed Anderson of Washington, Iowa, Rube Anderson and Ella Maxwell of New Market, Iowa. Besides these there are nineteen grand-children and a host of other relatives and friends. He was a devoted father, a kind neighbor, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need: was more happy to give than receive, and as long as his health permitted was always seeking a way to make some one happy. Mr Anderson had been in poor health for several years and was worse the last six months, but was tenderly cared for by his son Charles and wife. All that loving hands and medical aid could do was done, but to no avail. The voice of Jesus called and he answered the summons to be with Him through all Eternity. The body was brought to New Market to the home of Mrs Ermel Ingram, his granddaughter. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 pm in the Chirstian Church, conducted by Rev Lowell Bryant. The body was laid to rest in Memory Cemetery by the side of his wife. The pall bearers were six of his grandsons. Those attending the funeral from a distance were C. E Anderson, Albert Lake and wife and Mr. and Mrs. Fenton all of York, Nebraska; Frank Chambers and wife and Will Brooks and wife of Smithfield, Illinois; Wilsie Anderson and wife, of Grant City, Mo., Frank Holt and wife of Marysville, Mo., Lee White and family of Washington, Kansas. son of Robert Anderson and Nancy Morgan wed 1875 Mrs Margaret Childers Anderson
