Description	:	Janice Ann (Marshall) Long was born on September 16, 1937 and passed away on October 25, 2021 at the age of 84. Janice was a loving mother to four children, Pam, Mark, Rob and Marshall. She was married to William Long for 54 years, and now rejoins him in heaven. She grew up in an era unknown to many of us but romanticized in movies and song. Read More	Janice Ann (Marshall) Long was born on September 16, 1937 and passed away on October 25, 2021 at the age of 84. Janice was a loving mother to four children, Pam, Mark, Rob and Marshall. She was married to William Long for 54 years, and now rejoins him in heaven. She grew up in an era unknown to many of us but romanticized in movies and song. When she and Bill married in 1956, they honeymooned in Virginia Beach. She was a 50+ year member of Mt. Pleasant White Shrine of Jerusalem. She loved volunteering and spending time with her White Shrine Family and Friends. She competed AND won car Road-EO's against guys who probably did not like getting beat by a girl. She was a life-long member of First English Lutheran Church in Lancaster, where she spent countless hours helping with dinners and other events. She was church secretary for many years and served on many committees. She was a 1955 Graduate of Lancaster High School. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Bill; parents, Rose (Christy) Marshall and Max Marshall; sister, Donna Shea; and her beloved grandson, Tyler Giesy. She is survived by her children, Pam Giesy of Lancaster, Mark & Mary Long of Colorado Springs, Robert & Tamera Long of Westerville, Marshall & Cindy Long of Upper Arlington; grandchildren, Katherine, MaryRuth, Jacob, Rachel (Ian), Hayden, Cordelia; as well as great grandchildren, Keelie and Tylar. Calling hours to be held 5-7pm with White Shrine Service to follow on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at First English Lutheran Church, 220 North Columbus Street, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Calling hours to be held Monday, November 1, 2021 at 12:30pm-1:30pm at First English Lutheran Church with service to follow at 1:30pm. Burial to follow at Amanda Township Cemetery. Pastor Brian Dillahunt officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations in honor of Janice to First English Lutheran Church. Day Funeral Service is honored to serve the family of Janice Long.
