Description	:	Joseph Sobotka was born in Novy Jicin, Moravia, March 14, 1853 and died at his home in Wilber, Feb 1, 1918 at the age of 64 years, 10 months and 17 days. He came to America in 1877 and settled on a farm about 10 miles west of Wilber, where he lived until about 8 years ago, when he moved to Wilber. He was a devoted husband and father, and a good citizen, highly respected by all who knew him. Read More	Joseph Sobotka was born in Novy Jicin, Moravia, March 14, 1853 and died at his home in Wilber, Feb 1, 1918 at the age of 64 years, 10 months and 17 days. He was a devoted husband and father, and a good citizen, highly respected by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, Terezie, eight sons, John, Edward, Henry, Joseph, Karel, William, Frank and Adolph, and two daughters, Rose and Jennie. One daughter, Ludvika, died in Los Angeles about a year ago. His mother died last year. The funeral services were held at the late home Tuesday morning under the auspices of Lodge C.S.P.S. of which he was a member. Mr. F. J. Sadliek delivered the funeral address. The remains were taken to Omaha Tuesday noon to be cremated. The children were all here for the funeral except Adolph and Rose who are in California.
