Description	:	Joseph Morley is the son of John P. and Mary Grace Smith Morley. He married Hannah Morley, daughter of Moses and Katherine Watkins Morley on November 23, 1843, Henry County, Iowa. They were the parents to at least 8 children including: Eunice, Mary Grace, Daniel, Emma, Joseph Franklin, Elizabeth, John Pearl, and Mary Finley. Obit from unknown newspaper_ 1820-1887 MORLEY-Joseph Joseph Morley was born in Washington County, Pa., Dec. 18,1820. While a child his parents moved to Ohio. At twenty he came to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, where, with the exception of eighteen months spent in Oregon, he lived there until 1872, when he came to Wayne County, Iowa. In 1843, he was married to Miss Hannah Morley, who, with six children, still survives to mourn their loss and cherish his memory. Thirty years ago he joined the M.E. Church. The last years of his life he endeavored to live near to God, and when death approached "he feared no evil." He calmly talked to his companion of the great change, which seemed near, and to the writer declared his willingness to go whenever the Lord should call. He fell asleep in Christ Jan. 26, 1887, the writer preaching the funeral service. He was loved and respected, and his bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community. _Wm. B. Thompson
