Description	:	Lawrence “Larry” Schnacker, 72, of Elm Creek, died Monday, August 3, 2015 at Mt. Carmel Keens Memorial Home in Kearney. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Elm Creek High School Gymnasium with Pastor Dean Pofahl officiating. The family has requested those attending the service dress in casual attire. Interment will follow at the Elm Creek Cemetery. O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Lawrence Lynn Schnacker was born September 17, 1942 in Kearney, Nebraska to Wayne and LaRea (Cool) Schnacker. He received his education from Ansley High School, graduating in 1962. On September 14, 1963, Larry was united in marriage to Nancy Garringer at the Ansley Christian Church. Larry worked at the Alfalfa Mills in Overton and Elm Creek before open L&S Tire and Towing in Elm Creek in 1968. Larry and Nancy operated the business until September of 2014. Larry enjoyed collecting miniature tow trucks and working on his 1940 Ford Pickup. He was a member of the Professional Towers Association of Nebraska and a longtime member of the Elm Creek Fire and Rescue Department. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Schnacker of Elm Creek; daughters, Denise (Brad) Buethe of Elk Creek, NE, Amy (Will) Schmidt of Kearney, Gina Schnacker of Elm Creek; son, Jeff (Laurie) Schnacker of Elm Creek; son-in-law, David Wilmot of Kearney; grandchildren, Morgan and Lauren Schnacker, Mikayla Wilmot, and Riley and Cambrie Schmidt; father, Wayne Schnacker of Wood River, NE; brother, Lonny (Charlotte) Schnacker of Kearney; sister, Patti (Richard) Wolf of Danville, IN; sister-in-law, Marianne (Bud) Paben of Kearney. Larry was preceded in death by his son, Scott Schnacker; mother, LaRea Schnacker and his father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Roy and Erma Garringer.
