Although South Dakota residents for only the last two decades Mr. and Mrs. Edward Niebruegge have been married for approximately 55 years. They are natives of Washington, Franklin County, Missouri, where Mr. Niebruegge was born September 14, 1861, and Mrs. Niebruegge, nee Lydia Wieman, December 29, 1860. There they were married August 28, 1884, and for 35 years the couple continued their residence in that state. For many years Mr. Niebruegge served as deacon and elder, and for 20 years Sunday school superintendent in the Bethlehem Presbyterian church near Washington, Mo. In 1919 the elderly couple left the "Show Me" state and traversed to South Dakota to make their home with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Heidbrink who make their home on a farm east of Lennox. Mr. Niebruegge, who is a year the elder, will observe his 78th birthday anniversary this year. They are members of the Presbyterian Church. Mr. and Mrs. Niebruegge have six children and 11 grandchildren. The children: Rev. Niebruegge, Mankato, Minn.; Mrs. George Bossman, Yankton, S. D.; Mrs. Theodore Heidbrink, Lennox; Rev. Robert Niebruegge, George, IA., and Allen Niebruegge, Sioux Falls, S. D. Another son, Rev. J. C. Elmore Niebruegge served the Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian church from July 3, 1921 until his death in January, 1927. Another daughter, Nellie, died in infancy
