Parcher, for fifty years a resident of the vicinities of Brooks, Nodaway and Villisca, died suddenly of heart trouble Tuesday at 8:15 p. m., at his home on East Seventh Street Villisca. He was in the yard splitting kindling and fell while at his work or lay down when he became faint and was found there soon after by his wife. He was married to Emma C. Bowers in Corning on June 1, 1831. and to them three children were born. They are Mrs. Gail Maxwell, Buffalo Gap, South Dakota; Mrs. Louella Herrin, Rapid City, South Dakota and Virgil Parcher, Villisca. He leaves also the following brothers and sisters: Noah Parcher, Washington State; F. O. Parcher, Nodaway; John Parcher, South Dakota; Mrs. Edvina Bowers, California; Mrs. Roxa Smith, and Mrs. Hattie Brown of Nodaway. Mr. and Mrs. Parcer moved in 1907 from Nodaway to South Dakota to make their home and returned 2 years ago to Villisca, where they have since resided. Mr. Parcher was a member of the Christian Church and of the W.O.W. Lodge. Funeral services was held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church conducted by George A. Lawton. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery. The two daughters, Mrs. Maxwell and Mrs. Herrin and the latters husband and two daughters arrived Wednesday Night to attend the funeral.
