Her mother died when she was a small child. She was raised by her grandparents here in Victor where she graduated from the Victor public school. She was a faithful member of the Victor Congregational church and the Ladies Aid society for many years. Read More	Source: The Victor Record 12/23/1965 Mabel Kraft Services Held Wed., Dec. 22 Mabel Kraft, daughter of Edward and Ellen Manatt Kraft, was born on a farm near Brooklyn July 19, 1885. Her mother died when she was a small child. She was raised by her grandparents here in Victor where she graduated from the Victor public school. She was a faithful member of the Victor Congregational church and the Ladies Aid society for many years. She suffered a stroke in 1956 and was cared for in her brother's and sister-in-law's home in Illinois. She later returned to her home in Victor where she was care for until 1958, when she was taken to the Yearing nursing home in Williamsburg. She entered the Marengo Memorial hospital on Sunday, Dec. 19, where she passed away early Monday morning, Dec. 20, at the age of 80 years, five months and one day. She is survived by two brothers, Lloyd of Neoga, IL., Karl of Tama; two nieces, Mrs. Ed Rooney of Fort Wayne, IN., and Mrs. James Wilson of Mattoon, IL., two nephews, Donald of Anchorage, AK., and Louis of Tama. Her parents preceded her in death. Funeral services were held from the McAninch chapel on Wednesday, Dec. 22 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Paul Textor officiating. Two organ solos, "Beyond the Sunset" and "The Old Rugged Cross" were played by Mrs. Bette Rieke, organist. Casket bearers were Wayne Mathew, Richard Park, George Meyer, C. D. McAninich, E. I. Lawton, and John Geis, with burial in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
