Description	:	Maggie E. Arnold Maggie E. Wolfe, youngest child of Andrew S. and Martha Jane Wolfe, was born in Preble county, Ohio, April 24, 1863, and passed away July 25, 1941, aged 78 years, 3 months and 1 day at the time of her death. When a small child, she came with her parents to Lee county, Iowa later moving to Van Buren county where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Ulyssis Franklin Arnold, March 4, 1888. Wolfe, youngest child of Andrew S. and Martha Jane Wolfe, was born in Preble county, Ohio, April 24, 1863, and passed away July 25, 1941, aged 78 years, 3 months and 1 day at the time of her death. When a small child, she came with her parents to Lee county, Iowa later moving to Van Buren county where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Ulyssis Franklin Arnold, March 4, 1888. This union was blessed with eight children, two of which preceeded her in death. The oldest child, Walter C., dying in infancy, and Raymond Stanley, June 15, 1933. Those left to mourn the loss of their loving mother are one son, Charles D. of Douds, and five daughters, Mrs. Cora Myers of Arapaho, Okla., Mrs. Laura Steele of Douds, Mrs. Hazel Murphy of Keosauqua, Mrs. Clara Kupka of Clinton, Okla., and Mrs. Marie Bartholomew of Keosauqua. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Mrs. LaVina Ruthven, of Iowa City, Glenn, Lloyd and Donna Arnold of Douds, Margaret and Larry Bartholomew of Keosauqua and Kay LaVyonne Kupka of Clinton, Okla., several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was the last one of her family, three brothers and two sisters, all preceeding her in death. She was baptized when a child and was a member of the Methodist church. After the death of her husband and companion, January, 21, 1915, she made a home for her children until all were grown. Since that time, she has spent practically all of her remaining years with her daughter, Mrs. Ohio Murphy. Although she had been in failing health for a number of years, her sudden passing came as a shock to her family and friends, as she retired feeling as well as usual, but soon became ill and passed away quietly away in a few moments. Mrs. Arnold was of a cheerful disposition and always extended a helping hand and showed many expressions of kindness to all her neighbors and friends. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. Having lived a true Christian life, she was ready and answered when her Master called her. Source: Van Buren Co.
