Martha B., daughter of Seth and Lucy Clark, was born in Ripon, Fondulac county, Wisconsin, December 7, 1859, and died at her home in Boulder, Colorado, June 30, 1919, aged 59 years, 6 months and 23 days. She was united in marriage to Anderson Burt November 16, 1888. To this union four children were born. two died in infancy. The living are Mrs. Ida Garrison and Kenneth, both of Boulder, Colorado. She was united in marriage to Anderson Burt November 16, 1888. To this union four children were born. two died in infancy. The living are Mrs. Ida Garrison and Kenneth, both of Boulder, Colorado. Mrs. Burt with her parents, moved to Clarke county in he early childhood. She lived in this community about thirty years, having moved away about twenty-five years ago. Sister Burt gave her heart to the Lord while young and united with the Methodist Protestant church of this place. She remained a member of the church as long as she lived near enough to attend. About eight years ago she joined the Friends church and was a member of the same at her death. Sister Burt was a faithful consecrated Christian. She leaves to mourn her husband, the two children above mentioned, two grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. B. F. Wortman of Mills county, Iowa, Mrs. Lucia Clark of Osceola, Iowa, and Mrs. Myra Carter of Springfield, Illinois. The body accompanied by the husband and son, was brought to this city for burial, the funeral being held at the Methodist Protestant church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. J. C. Leonard. Interment was made in Maple Hill cemetery. Transcribed as published by Karen Brewer.
