Description	:	Funeral services were held last Sunday at the Immanuel Lutheran church for Mrs. Pete Boysen who died at the home of her daughters in Omaha. Rev. Read More	Funeral services were held last Sunday at the Immanuel Lutheran church for Mrs. Pete Boysen who died at the home of her daughters in Omaha. Rev. Norman Lemme of Omaha was in charge of the services. Meta Marie Boysen nee Fundermann was born in Scott county on Sept 21, 1872. She came with her parents to Crawford county in 1876. On February 21, 1895 she was married to Peter Boysen. This union was blessed with five daughters and one son. They farmed in Otter Creek township and then moved to Morgan township where they farmed until 1920. They then moved to Schleswig where they resided until Nov 1, 1943 when they moved to Omaha to make their home with their daughters, Amanda and Adele Boysen. In October 1947 they returned to Schleswig to live with their daughter, Mrs. Alfred Jensen and family. On Jan 22, 1948 Mr. Boysen died from a heart attack. In July 1949 Mrs. Boysen returned again to Omaha to live with her daughters. Mrs. Boysen returned again to Omaha to live with her daughters. Mrs. Boysen was baptized and confirmed in Grant township. She was an honorary member of the Immanuel Ladies Aid in Schleswig. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Hilda Smith of Climbing Hill, Mrs. Leona Jensen of Mapleton, Mrs. Meta Carstens of Buck Grove, Amanda and Adele of Omaha, one son Bernard Boysen of Grand Island Neb, Seventeen grand children and 11 great grandchildren other relatives and friends. Burial was in Morgan cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Alfred Jensen Jr, Billy Carstens, Bernell Carstens, Melvin Gatewood, Darell Smith and Orland Hargens.
