Description	:	Rex was born August 2, 1928, to Lloyd and Bessie (Carney) Fetter in Logan, Iowa. He was raised in Logan and graduated from Logan High School in 1947. Rex enjoyed football and boxing while in school. Rex proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was based in Alaska working in the mechanic pool and then as a clerk typist. After his honorable discharge, Rex owned the Skelly & Sinclair Stations. Rex married Renelda Christensen. The couple was blessed with two daughters. He was raised in Logan and graduated from Logan High School in 1947. Rex enjoyed football and boxing while in school. Rex proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was based in Alaska working in the mechanic pool and then as a clerk typist. After his honorable discharge, Rex owned the Skelly & Sinclair Stations. Rex married Renelda Christensen. The couple was blessed with two daughters. He worked at Duval Construction as a mechanic and operated the drag line. In 1972 he started working for the Iowa DOT as a weights officer. Rex married Joan (Hansen) Hutson in 1988 at the Christian Church in Logan. Rex retired from the DOT in 1991. He also farmed and operated a bulldozer and backhoe. He also enjoyed tinkering on cars and building birdhouses. Rex was a member of the Christian Church in Logan. He was a volunteer fireman for a number of years and served as the Fire Chief. Additionally, Rex served on the Logan Cemetery Board. He enjoyed going for coffee and visiting. Rex was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Renelda Fetter in 1982; brothers, Art and Max Fetter and four sisters, Vivian Fetter, Maxine Fetter, Phyllis Jordan and Ione Dewitt. He is survived by his wife, Joan Fetter of Logan, Iowa; two daughters, Celeste (David) Waymire of Treynor, Iowa and Colette (Pat) McEvoy of Council Bluffs, Iowa; two step children, Becky Alfrey of Denver, Colorado, Kelly (Fran) Hutson of Logan, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Jo Fountain of Lincoln, Nebraska and Berneill Faubion of California; two half sisters, Dorothy (Greg) Koski and Lois Fetter; half brother, Lloyd William Fetter, Jr. of Jefferson, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
