Description	:	Mrs. Susanna Muir Susanna Harrison, daughter of Francis and Ann Harrison, was born at Dakrebanks, England, March 1, 1844, and died at the home of her son, Ralph, near Lebanon, Iowa, July 31, 1934, at the age of 90 years, 5 months. When 5 years of age she came to America with her parents and located in Keosauqua, Iowa, attendind(err) the public schools there. Read More	Mrs. Susanna Muir Susanna Harrison, daughter of Francis and Ann Harrison, was born at Dakrebanks, England, March 1, 1844, and died at the home of her son, Ralph, near Lebanon, Iowa, July 31, 1934, at the age of 90 years, 5 months. When 5 years of age she came to America with her parents and located in Keosauqua, Iowa, attendind(err) the public schools there. When a young woman she united with the Congregational church in Keosauqua, of which she remained a member. She attended services when possible. August 23, 1885, she was united in marriage to Thomas Iowa Muir, of Vernon Prairie, who died March 21, 1905. To this union were born two sons, Ralph Leon, who resides on the farm, and George Cresswell who died in infancy. They made the farm their home on which she died until 1898 when they moved to Keosauqua, that being her home except the last 7 years when she returned to the farm to be cared for by Ralph and family. She had been in slow, declining health for years and in March, 1934, she took to her bed and since had not regained her usual health. Her condition became serious Monday, July 26. On July 31, at 2 a.m. she slipped away to her heavenly home. She is one of 10 children and is the last of her family. Her great pride was in her home. She was a kind and helpful neighbor and leaves to mourn their loss, her son, Ralph, two grandsons, Clare and LaMar Muir, three great-grandchildren, Laurence Snodgrass, Francis Jean Muir and Bobby Dean Muir; three nieces, Mrs. Grace Storm, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Ella Woodruff and Mrs. May Reed, Omaha, Neb., and one nephew, William Harrison, Brooklyn, Iowa. Funeral services were held at the home of her son on Wednesday, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Gilbert in charge. Interment in Purdom Cemetery, Keosauqua. **Handwritten: Keo.
