Description	:	Tony had a real zest for life. He loved martial arts movies and riding his motorcycle. He was funny, sarcastic, a smartass, a great kidder, and loved practical jokes when they weren't played on him. The 5'8" blonde haired, blue eyed teenager would do anything to get a rise out of someone, and almost always did. Tony was doggedly stubborn, a fierce competitor, and dared to be different. The 5'8" blonde haired, blue eyed teenager would do anything to get a rise out of someone, and almost always did. Tony was doggedly stubborn, a fierce competitor, and dared to be different. Getting on his bad side meant getting an icy stare and the silent treatment for awhile. Tony died in 1972 at the age of 18 in a single motor vehicle accident in the early morning hours of October 1 on a rural road in Iowa. His car missed a sharp curve in the road, apparently went airborne off the road, rolled, came to a rest and burst into flames next to a corn field. There was some question about the fact there were no skid marks on the pavement to indicate he had tried to correct the turn and hit the brakes. Many of his friends and family think he may have fallen asleep while driving. Although there is no way to really know what happened, it's my feeling that he may have nodded off and possibly awoke when the car went out of control. A true biker to the end, he did not hit his brakes but instead "rode it out" to it's ultimate end. Regardless of the details, he left us all behind much too soon. I would very much have liked to have known the person he would have become. He was truly one of a kind. Tony was survived by his parents, Duane Max Bryant [1935-2011] and Joanne Bryant [1935-2012] of Burlington; two younger brothers, one younger sister, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and his maternal and paternal grandmothers.
