This would be a 2nd marriage for her, as she had been married previously to a Mr. Palmer. Viola had been born in Van Wert County, Ohio to George and Lucinda (Fansaught) McGovern. Nick Schilz said he would be 58 on his next birthday, and that he was living in Colwick, Kansas, where he was the proprietor of a billiard hall. He said it was his first marriage. He had been born in Germany to John and Annie (Michaels) Schilz. Sadly, Viola died in 1927. On October 31, 1927, her husband, Nick Shilz, signed the probate records to do with the insurance money from her death.
