Description	:	Wayne E. Budler was born to Anton J. Budler and Katherine Steffgen Budler on May 14, 1910, at Loup City. He passed away on September 16, 1990, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 2 days. He was one of seven children in the family. The family moved from Loup City to Geneva in 1914, and then later settled on a farm north and west of Fairmont. Wayne attended public schools in Grafton. The family moved from Loup City to Geneva in 1914, and then later settled on a farm north and west of Fairmont. Wayne attended public schools in Grafton. On April 22, 1941, Wayne was married to Mary Anita Hughes of Sutton. The couple farmed in the Fairmont and Grafton area, where they began their family, which grew to number eight children. Following the end of World War II, Wayne and brothers, Louis and Bernard, joined interests to farm the deactivated Fairmont Air Base. In 1953, Wayne and Mary moved to a farm near Hebron, where they lived until Mary's death in August of 1984. Wayne then resided in the Bethesda Care Center in Exeter until his passing on Sunday, September 16, 1990. Wayne was a member of the St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Exeter at the time of his death and was a former member of St. Joseph's in Geneva, St. Helena's in Grafton and Sacred Heart in Hebron. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Katherine of Grafton; brothers, Wilfred Budler of Pasadena, Tx., and Clarence Budler of North Platte; and a sister, Viola Pontine of Sutton; and his wife, Mary of Hebron. He is survived by sons, Michael and Joseph, both of Lincoln; daughters, Liz Ashton and husband Kirk of Durant, Ok., Cathy Martin and husband, Jerry, of South Lake Tahoe, Ca., Mrs. Rose Wallman and husband Dave, of Lincoln, Jeanne Budler of Hebron, Anita Baden of Lincoln, and Patty Budler of Riverton, Wy.; brothers, Louis of Fairmont and Bernard of Bradshaw; a sister, Mrs. Estella Perkins of Exeter; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted from the St. Helena's Catholic Church in Grafton with Father Urban Schmitt and Father John Kelly officiating. Mrs. Eileen O'Connor accompanied the St. Helena's choir, who provided music for the services. Those serving as pallbearers were Michael Hughes, Larry Budler, John Budler, Tony Budler, Tom Budler, Richard Perkins and Ron Perkins. Honorary bearers were Robert Budler, Francis Aryes, Larry Bruce Budler, Patrick Budler, Bill Budler, Jim Budler and Robert Perkins. Interment was in the Holy Cross Cemetery at Grafton.
