Description	:	Wilma Munster Huber, b. 1915, d. 1991. Wilma was the daughter of Peter and Martha (Baak) Munster. When she was a young adult and had earned a little money she took legal action to get her legal name changed from Wilhelmina to Wilma. She hated the name Wilhelmina. She was at Montclair Nursing home in Omaha, NE the last two years of her life, having had a series of strokes and pneumonia. She died in the arms of her step-sister, Mary Kluver Christensen. When she was a young adult and had earned a little money she took legal action to get her legal name changed from Wilhelmina to Wilma. She hated the name Wilhelmina. Wilma's father, Peter Munster, died. Then her mother remarried, to August "Augie" Kluver. So Augie Kluver became her step-father. Then her mother died. She was left with her step-father. Then her step-father, Augie Kluver remarried to Inez Marian Doakes. So, Marian became Wilma's step-mother. So then, Wilma was raised (and loved) by step-parents without ever having left her home without ever having been orphaned, really. Her step-parents and half/step-siblings were all very loving and close. Wilma was born in Ricketts. Ia. and died at age 75 years. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church in 1929 and received her education as the Charter Oak, Iowa school. Graduated in 1933. She was employed by the local telephone company one year before she entered the State University of Iowa. Graduated in 1939 and taught Jr High several years and became a Principal in Buffalo Center, Ia in addition to Rock Island Ill. On April l,1943. Wilma was married to Robert A. Huber in the Lutheran parsonage in Charter Oak. While her husband was in military service the couple lived in St Louis, Mo and Roswell, N.M. before returning to practice medicine in Charter Oak. Two children were born to them. Wilma was a devoted wife and mother who cared for her family with affection. Her compassion was illustrated by her involvement in charitable organizations. The Red Cross, Heart Association, St Johns Ladies Aid, American Legion Auxiliary and the Clubetts. In 1990 Wilma had a stroke and moved to Mountclair Care Center in Omaha. Neb. She was preceded in Death by her parents, Stepfather, and husband Robert who died April 27,1988. Survivors include one son Robert Dennis of Omaha and one daughter Patti Jo of Omaha and husband Dennis Weiss; six grandchildren. one great grandchild and her step mother Marion Kluver of Charter Oak. Others are one brother Richard Kluver of Anita, Ia. two sisters Edna Jones (called Pooty) of Des Moines, Ia and Mary Jean Christensen and husband David of Omaha. Also sister-in-law Genevive Jones of Sioux City, Ia. Wilma is remembered by family as a survivor and fought back from a long illness before Bob died. She and Pooty were raised on a farm and life was hard on two young girls after their mother died. They loved telling the story of living behind the bowling alley and listening to the noise and trying to sleep to top any hard luck story. Marion made life easier when she married Augie Kluver. Wilma and Pooty shared a special time, were friends with the Mundt children(cousins) growing up. Wilma never knew her father because he died of a kidney problem before she was born. Her mother married August when she was a young girl, then she lost her mother as a teen. She put her children's needs and wants above her own always and spent hours driving them to all events. Back surgery revealed she was born with an incomplete Spinabifita. A cousin on her mothers side was also born with an incomplete one. (The above was written by Mary Jean [Kluver] Christensen.)
