Description	:	Located on a hill at Addison Road and 62nd Place, just north of Palmer Highway, Route 704 in Seat Pleasant. A log chapel was built in 1696 and named after Colonel John Addison who had donated the land. The church ground and cemetery now consists of 5.467 acres. In 1919 the Washington Diocesan Convention designated the name of the church to be St. Matthew's Church of Addison Parish.
