Description	:	From Mena follow Hwy 8 east to Hwy 375, turn onto 375 and follow it to Shady. The black to ends at Shady and the gravel road becomes Mine Creek Road. Follow Mine Creek Road five and one half miles east, turn south on an old Civilian Conservation Corps road towards Bard Springs Rec. Area then go over to the top of the hill to the first crossroad and turn left (east) and go between 1/2 and 3/4 of a mile, cross Sugar Creek. Now, this is the land that J.S. Aleshire homesteaded in the mid-1800s. As of Jan. 12, 1984 there were two big walnut trees growing near the old house place. The two graves are located in an old field, across Sugar Creek, about one-fourth mile to the south of the old home place.
