According to family records there are three people buried there - John Jacob Gowey, Fanny Galetsy (Judson) Gowey and their daughter-in-law Mariah (Filmer) Gowey. John and Fanny's daughter Clarissa is also named on their headstone, but is not buried there. The land where the cemetery was created is now a part of Lake Darling State Park and is located in a heavily wooded area off of one of the hiking trails.
